This week we had nine in attendance. Todd Holloway announced the Regional Career Fair and passed out some fliers. Rich announced the DDBA fund raiser scheduled to held on March 14th. Shawn Pruett was introduced as this week speaker. He introduced himself and his business as Auto Collision Repair Shop Manager for Ron Drupratt Ford. He explained that even though the shop is in the Ford dealership, they work on all makes and models. He explained the many services they offer and it seems that this time of year water leaks are at the top of the list. He also explained how he works with insurance companies to help resolve client needs after a collision. Questions were aked and answered and a lot of new information was shared. Todd then began to pass out information on the services offered by the Workforce Investment Board. He explained the his company is Federally funded and their services are at risk at this time and he requested help in writing letters in support of their services. Todd had several filers explaining his services and he informed us of the many different facets of his organization. Carrol Parker volunteered to take over the Referral Chair. After the 30 second commercial the meeting was adjourned.

This week we had 13 members and two guests.
Jane Heinrichs announced that she was forming an LLC with her business. Rich announced the DDBA’s fund raising event Kathy King announced a Soroptimist event which features a make over. Todd Holloway announced a Career Fair to be held at University of Pheonix on April 7th. Carrol Parker passed out a flier about a Social Media Workshop. Debra Dingman announced that the Kiwanis were having a Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on April16.
Todd announced the speaker for the next few weeks.
Suzanne Lorente explained that she made contact with a few lost members and we hope to see them back soon.
Discussion was made about Guests speakers and the main concern is that the current members need to keep their business present and that by allowing outside speaker it would take away that opportunity. It was decided to have a Guest Day and on that day we could also invite an outside speaker.
Our guest Michael Angelo Mark Antonio introduced his new business and was excited to share that his partner and he were about to have their Grand Opening.
Suzanne Lorente was introduced as this weeks speaker. She pulled out her 12 string guitar and began to explain about the services she offer in the form of musical entertainment for events of all sizes. She then went on to play some songs. It was quite entertaining and enjoyed by all.
The meeting was adjourned.

This week we had ten members and one guest.
Our newest member was welcomed.
Jill announced the DDBA event and explained that the City Counsel was hold a meeting this evening and several topics were up for discussion. The big concern is the Governors plan to close down the RDA funds and secure those assets. Debbie Cornfield announced the Citizen of the Year event . Jill explained that she was looking for sponsors for the Grillin and Chillin event in July.
Discussion was made on the email poll about changing the meeting time and another topic was brought up about allowing for out guests speakers. Everyone though it might be a good idea and it was requested that an email poll be made to check everyone’s reactions.
Todd Holloway announced that the WIB is now renting the office inside the Chamber of Commerce and anyone needing help should stop by.
Jill Orr was introduced as this weeks guest speaker. She began by introducing the topic of short sales for home owners who were having a difficult time. She explained the procedure for this process and told us of the difficulties in processing these kinds of sales. She presented a lot of information and explained how she was offering a service for helping home owners who have decide to go the short sale route.
Todd gave us some words of wisdom.
After the 30 second commercial the meeting was adjourned.

This week we had nine members and one guest.
Rich announced the DDBA fund raising event for March 14th. James Slaughter announced the Citizen of the Year. Rich announced that he had tickets to the DDBA’s fund raiser.
Donny Everhart announced the upcoming speakers for the next few weeks.
It was decided to meet at Chevy’s for the month of March.
It was expressed that mornings might be a good time to meet. It was decided to send out an email poll and check the interest level of this idea.
Donny was introduced as this weeks guest speaker. He began by passing out some brochures and explaining the services in each pamphlet. All the different types of insurance was explored and he explained how insurance is a necessity these days. Keeping our possessions safe and covered should be everyone’s priority.
The meeting was adjourned after some words of wisdom.

This weeks meeting was started with seven members.
Steve Lorente announced the DDBA fund raising event for March 14th.
Upcoming speakers were announced.
Audra made some suggestions about some Guidelines corrections regarding attendance.
Carrol Parker pass out some marketing material and explained about a service she was looking into called Groupon. Steve explained the he tried postal mailing and the results were less than satisfactory. Questions were asked about Facebook exposure. Everyone agreed that advertising in the Yellow Pages was becoming less attractive. Email newsletters were discussed.
The meeting adjourned with announcement that we would be meeting at IHOP all this month.
